Dear teachers and students! These are ‘Insight Model Papers’ for chapter-7 of chemistry-12. The chapter name is ‘Fundamental Principles of Organic Chemistry’. As is evident from the name, this chapter is about the basic concepts of organic chemistry such as the definition and historical background of organic compounds and organic chemistry, vital force theory, properties of organic compounds, fossil fuels, carbonization of coal, petroleum & its fractional distillation products, cracking of petroleum, reforming of gasoline, classification of organic compounds, functional groups with relevant examples of compounds containing these groups, hybridization along with the shapes of basic hydrocarbon molecules, and finally the phenomenon of isomerism plus its different types with examples. Thus, the understanding of this chapter is very important and helpful for mastering the subject of organic chemistry.
This chapter has a great examination value as well. A part of the long question for 4 marks, three short questions for 6 marks and one multiple choice question for 1 mark make its total weightage in board exams. The given papers are constructed to ensure these precious marks.
The model papers include complete chapter tests, that fall into three categories:
A – 19 Marks Tests
B – 30 Marks Tests
C – 40 Marks Tests
Type A contain 1 LQ, 5 SQs & 5 MCQs. These are for initial level testing during the start of the classes. Type B contain 2 LQs, 8 SQs & 6 MCQs. Type C contain 3 LQs, 10 SQs & 8 MCQs. Both these types are for advanced level of students. Whatsoever, utilize these tests and don’t forget to give your opinion about our work in comment section. Thanks!
Respected teachers and keen students! Insight Model Papers for Chemistry 11 Chapter 1 are given below. As is evident from the name “Basic Concepts”, this chapter deals with the most basic and fundamental concepts of chemistry, that is, atom, ions, molecules, isotopes, mass spectrometry, percentage composition, combustion analysis, empirical formula, molecular formula, mole, Avogadro’s number, molar volume, stoichiometry, limiting reactant & yield etc. These concepts play a very important role in understanding all other fields of chemistry. So, this chapter may be regarded as one of the most important chapters of the book.
From examination point of view, this chapter also has a special value. It has a mark weightage of 12 marks in the board papers. This counts for two MCQs of 2 marks, three short questions of 6 marks, and one long question of 4 marks. The long question may be a theory question or a numerical question. In case, it is a numerical question, it may be taken from the numerical examples or the textbook exercise numericals. All Punjab Boards paper scheme of the current year shows that a numerical of four marks will be selected from this chapter. All these aspects about this chapter have been considered before setting these model papers so that the students may make promising exam preparations.
An important point to note is that the long question selected from chapter 1 is often paired with the theory question from chapter 4. So, a student who prepares chapter 1, must also prepare chapter 4 to become able to attempt one full question of 8 marks in the board exams. For this sake, combined tests of chapter 1+4 are also available here in #two chapters combination tests section.
What types of tests are available here; these fall into three categories:
Half chapter tests
Complete chapter tests
Complete chapter tests (smart syllabus)
The detail of these categories and their importance will be discussed in the related portion.
One more thing to say, these papers are provided in PDF format that are easy to download and print. No logo or water mark is added so that these papers can be used by any academia or teacher with secrecy and without any reluctance. Use these papers and please share your experience. Thanks!
